This week on the podcast I am joined by Amanda McKinney. Amanda is a yoga business coach and the host of the Marketing Yoga with Confidence podcast. She is an expert in marketing, and after working for many years in the corporate world, she transitioned to working with yoga teachers to help them market their products and services, and get more students in classes.
On this episode, we talk about how to discover who your dream client is, how to find out where they hang out online and offline, and then how to market to them in an authentic way to get them into your classes. Amanda speaks to how we can market ourselves and our services authentically, as well as shares business lessons she’s learned along the way.

This week on the podcast, I am joined by Tiffany Cruikshank. Tiffany is a world-renowned yogi and the founder of Yoga Medicine. Yoga Medicine is a teaching platform to educate yoga teachers in a blend of both eastern and western models of medicine to ultimately help clients/students treat and manage things like chronic pain and depression through yoga and meditation practices. Tiffany has a pre-med bachelor’s degree in medicinal plant biology and nutrition, a master’s degree in acupuncture and oriental medicine, and a specialty in sports medicine and orthopedics.
On this episode of the podcast, Tiffany and I talk about how she has worked to combine the eastern and western models of medicine to help serve her clients, how she has expanded her business from just in-person work to online courses and programs, as well as training programs around the world. We also talk about the Seva Foundation that she has founded, and all of the business lessons she’s learned throughout her career!

This week on the podcast I am joined by John & Chris Yax from Yax Yoga Concepts. John & Chris are brothers, business partners, and yoga teachers from Virginia Beach, VA. They came to yoga from a mixed martial arts background, but quickly fell in love with the practice and decided to become teachers. They soon opened up a yoga studio in their house, and have watched their studio grow and flourish into two locations, teacher training programs, and thousands of students coming through the door.

This week on the podcast I am joined by Theresa Berenato. Theresa is a corporate yoga teacher and the founder of Workspace Yogi, an online membership site. On this episode, Theresa and I talk about how her path as a yoga teacher has been unconventional in that she hasn’t taught in yoga studios. Instead, she jumped right into teaching corporate yoga classes. She built her clientele up to a point where they requested that she started offering more classes, and instead of filling her schedule more full of corporate classes, she started building her business online. Now, she offers online classes and has a private membership site for her clients.
