Welcome back for Season 3 of M.B.Om! I am so excited to kick off this season with an interview with Namastream co-founders Sandy Connery and Jennifer Barcelos. Sandy and Jennifer share how they got into the yoga industry, what inspired them to create Namastream, and what Namastream does for yoga teachers.
In this episode, we chat about the struggles of developing an online software business, as well as what Sandy and Jennifer see the Namastream teachers struggle with when it comes to creating an online business. We touch on imposter syndrome, producing content even though it’s not perfect, putting yourself out there, and how to create and market a successful online yoga business.

Thai Yoga Massage combines the best of yoga and massage into a heavenly form of bodywork, for both
the giver and receiver. In my career, I’ve taught thousands of teachers who have seen their careers take
a huge leap forward with some earning an extra 30% or more when adding Thai Yoga Massage to their
knowledge base.
This is a heart centered practice where a great massage is defined by how good it is give while sharing all

If you’re a yoga teacher trying to run your business, the chances are you often come across the issue
on a monthly basis of having the uncertainty around how you’ve done that particular month.
The long-term success of any business depends on having some level of visibility over the monthly
earnings. In other words, you should know as a minimum how much revenue you will make in a month.
Many people have a business but it’s not sustainable.

When you want to set up a yoga business because it’s your passion, then you’ve got one half of what it takes to make this work. Because building a business off the back of a passion is a great way to find success. But at the same time, just because you’re passionate about something, it doesn’t mean that you’re going to be able to build a great business. Instead, you need to have either some kind of knowledge about business and marketing, or a passion for it. When you put the two together, you will be able to find the kind of success that you want. Why? Because if your studio is going to take off, it has to be known. You could be faced with a lot of competition, and it’s going to be your business knowledge or interest in it that will get you to stand out. There will be a time in everyone’s lives where they fall in love with a hobby or activity. It will happen once in your life and you will begin to wish you could do this particular thing all day every day for the rest of your life.
It may be that you love to sit down and be creative, putting pen or paint to paper and expressing yourself visually, it could be that you long to perform on stage in front of thousands of people every night, or maybe you are business savvy and would one day like to open your own hr consultancy.
