6 Reasons Your Yoga Business Needs A Website

As someone who is running their own business in this day and age, ideally you already know the merits of being online. If you don’t, then perhaps a step back before you go forward? Plenty of businesses still manage without a website, but their network is often smaller and their community much weaker than those who can build an online following and recognition on social media. Being online doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to be running blogs, vlogs and video classes (though all of these are great ideas), but it does mean that your business needs a face.

Your website is going to be your face when you’re online. It’s how people are going to search for you and find you to know whether you are the right company for their yoga goals. Most yoga business owners believe that a website could be a totally drag. It takes time, money and focus that you would rather be putting into new classes and helping others; which is lovely, but it doesn’t bring in the customers as much as you’d think. It doesn’t have to cost the earth and when you use a company like Dyrand, you don’t even have to manage it yourself because they can do it for you. There are plenty of reasons that your business needs a comprehensive and stunning website, and here they are:

Credibility. When you have your own website, customers are immediately reassured of your legitimacy as a business. We’ve all googled a company name and been turned off when we can’t find a proper website to look at; they’ll feel that way about you if you don’t have a site of your own.

Networking. Having a website doesn’t just reach out to new customers, either. You can get hold of other people in the same industry and receive invites to exclusive expos and classes to help you further your own learning. An online presence gives people another avenue to contact you on.

Relationships. Your relationship with your students goes beyond stretching and breathing, especially as yoga is therapeutic to many. Building relationships is key, and your site can enable you to do this. You can’t meet 100 people every day, but with a webinar you can.

Growth. When your current venue holds 30 people at a time, but your schedule is only pasted to the door of the hall you use, you’re going to struggle to fill the quota. By posting your schedule online, you can open up other days of availability as students who can fill those days will suddenly come forward.

Email. You can use your website to gather information and data and build email lists for offers and introductions for future customers. It’s a good way to reach more people in one go with automation.

Sell. Your ethos may not be about making money, but you are a business and you have bills to pay. On your website, you could sell yoga related products and use your website to make you the extra cash that you need.
